More Cabin Pics

Cabin Fun

I honestly love the summer time just for the cabin. My grandparents own a cabin in West Yellowstone on Hebgan Lake. It is what makes our summer complete. We could live up there for the summer. It is absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. It was a little sad though just because I couldn't really do a whole lot just from having Zoey. I did try to ski though and ended up doing the splits and hurting myself a little bit. Not a good idea :( There is so much to do up there too. Zoey loved it and loved being outside in the sun. We stay up all night playing cards and games and we love watching movies and Game Show Network. My crazy brother made a ramp jump to go off of on the dock into the lake. He caught some major air too. I love my family and love being around them. I love my nephews too. They are the cutest little boys around.

Two Year Anniversary

I can't believe Shawn and I have been married for only two years. It honestly seems like a lot longer than that just because we dated for so long. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband who I adore and love. He is my best friend and I don't know where I would be without him. He completes me for sure. I love him so much. Shawn surprised me with concert tickets to Julianne Hough and Blake Shelton. It was so much fun. It was a blast. I was super impressed with Julianne Hough. She is absolutely gorgeous and sang really well. Blake Shelton was awesome too. He was really funny and kept making comments about good old Idaho and how he would love to live here. Ha Ha... By the way, check out the guitar hippie in the background. Shawn and I laughed so hard at him. He was so uncoordinated with his dancing. It was hilarious. He was totally getting into it too.

Gotta Love The Bows

I just absolutely love dressing up my baby girl. I love the big bows and can't get enough of them. I honestly have every color of bow imaginable. Here are a few pictures of Zoey and also pictures of my grandparent's 60th Wedding Anniversary. They are two amazing people who Shawn and I look up to in so many ways. We love them so much.

More Cute Pics

Zoey has been such a joy. We love her so much and just adore her. We can't believe we are actually parents and responsible for our precious angel. I still can't believe to this day that I gave birth and that I am a mom. It is surreal. Even Roxy has come to love her, even though she gets a little jealous of her at times. She is now 12 days old and is already changing so much. Everybody thinks she looks just like me and no Shawn. Poor guy:)

SHE ARRIVES!!!

Sorry I have been so bad about blogging. I swear during the summer it gets harder to blog and keep up. So here are the details about our sweet baby girl's arrival. Shawn and I decided to go golfing Wednesday June 24th. We went to a 9 hole golf course in Shelley, ID. The course was a little rough and the ride was definitely bumpy. To this day, I swear that is what put me into labor because we went to the doctor the Monday before and he told us we were not even dialated and my cervix had not even thinned out. I had a massage lined up later on in the week, I was putting on special oils, and I got a pedicure. I was trying to think of anything possible to help get our baby here. Golfing was the trick! Thursday morning I woke up and my underwear was wet. I rushed upstairs and asked my mom what was going on. She had no idea, so we decided to wait a little bit. Well about twenty minutes went on and I started to slowly leak down my leg. I knew then that my water had broke. We called the doctor's office and they told us to come in and get checked out. Sure enough, my water had broke, but it was just a small leakage and would slowly leak throughout the day. They told us to head to the hospital. I was so nervous. I couldn't believe the day had finally arrived. I checked into the hospital at 10:00 a.m. The nurses at the hospital were great. They took such good care of me. I got all situated in the room and got hooked up to an IV. They checked me out and I was dialted to a .5 I was a little discouraged. So they decided to put me on Pit. Well 14 hours later and I still was only dialted to a 1. It was a long hard labor with lots of labor pains. I have never felt anything like it before. Shawn was such a great support and stood by my side through it all and never got nervous. I was so proud of him. Finally my mom talked the nurses and anestisiologist (bad spelling) into giving me an epidural. The epidural only took on my right side and so I was still feeling all the pain on the my left side. They slowly had to inject more medicine into me and it finally worked on my left side. Within one hour I was dialated to a 10 and ready to push. It was amazing. I don't know how women give birth without medicine. I thought I was pretty tough, but I realized I was a pansy. The nurse told me to start pushing because she thought it would take a while to get our baby out. Shawn was my counter and he did a great job. After just three contractions and pushes, the nurse told me to stop because they had to call the doctor to get him there to deliver. Only four contractions and pushes later did our baby girl arrive. The first thing I asked was if she had all her fingers and toes. It was the most spiritual and amazing experience Shawn and I have ever had. I thank my heavenly father every day for sending me an angel from heaven and blessing our lives.
