February Frenzy

So the month of February was ridiculous. I hauled Zoey around every weekend for four weeks in a row. Poor girl. We flew on planes, but got to see family and friends. It was a fun month, but we are both very much worn out. And to top it off, my poor little girl got sick and has an ear infection. No fun. I feel so bad for her and she is just fussy and sad. I know I am the worst mom and its my fault she got sick. We went to see my friend in Wyoming and got to see her coach her girl's high school basketball team. The girls loved Zoey. The next weekend we got to go and see my family in Boise for the big girls State basketball tourney. My sister Kylee got second place. She is seriously an All-Star and we love watching her play and cheering her on. My poor husband hates me because I have been away so much, but I think deep down he has enjoyed the time to spend with his books. He has been working hard every weekend to get caught up and get ahead on his law stuff. Zoey also turned eight months old. I can't believe it. She is growing and getting so big. She loves her mommy and daddy. She loves rolling around and that is the only way she gets places. No crawling yet and no teeth yet either. Hope everybody had a great month and may March bring some green cheer!!!

Hip Hop

I attended a hip-hop class this morning. I was so excited about it. I get all ready and I take Zoey with me. She loves music so she just sat on the floor and watched us attempt to dance. In my head I was thinking that this is going to be fun and easy because I am so used to dancing. I mean I did take dance from the world's greatest, my momma, for 15 years. Well first off I was super impressed with our instructor, Jenny. She was amazing. I loved her style and she was just so much fun to watch. But can I tell you how embarrassed I was because I felt so freaking uncoordinated and felt like I had never before danced in my life. Not only was I sweating in every crease in my body and out of breath, but I felt like I couldn't get down with my bad self and get it together. I was a little disappointed in myself. And honestly ever since I gave birth to Zoey I have felt like I lost that sense of coordination in me. Can this be possible? Probably not. I always tell Shawn that if I wasn't a sport junky and played sports whenever I could that I would totally take up dancing and would want to go pro, like So You Think You Can Dance pro. Well that is not happening now after my reality check. Don't take me the wrong way about the class though. I totally loved it and would go every single Saturday if Jenny taught it, but I just felt so uncoordinated. Kind of a sad reality check. Maybe I just need to get back into it or maybe I just need to give it up. Not sure. I do love dance though and think it is an amazing way to express yourself and share your talents. Thanks again Jenny for a fun class. It was a blast and I would love to be as good as you someday:)

7 Months and Fam In Town

Zoey turned seven months old today. It is absolutely crazy. I can't believe how big she is already. I swear it was just yesterday when I was holding her in my arms for the very first time. I thought I would share seven things we love about Zoey since she is 7 months old....
1. When you go into her room in the mornings or to get her from a nap, she gets so excited and kicks her legs and has the best smile to greet you with.
2. Her sweet laugh and dimples.
3. How she needs to be the life of the party and always has to be talking and gabbing and putting in her two cents.
4. She can sit up on her own and loves to roll over, but only to her left.
5. How she gets so excited when daddy comes home from school and loves to squeeze his cheeks.
6. She loves her rice cereal, but refuses to eat fruits. She only likes her vegetables.
7. She gets so happy and loves to hear us sing to her. Her favorite song is The Wheels on the Bus and she loves when daddy sings to her Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas.

We love you so much Zoey. You brighten our day and make us so happy. We are so lucky to have you.

My mom and my sister Savannah surprised us and came into Moscow last weekend just to visit. I could not believe they traveled nine hours just to stay a couple of days. They are so sweet. Zoey loved having them around. We had so much fun. We even ate out at places that we never knew existed in Moscow. It was awesome. Thanks mom and nan for coming out and spending the weekend with us. We have the best family in the world and that is what its all about.

More Christmas

Christmas

Christmas 2009 was a blast. We loved being home for three weeks. I am sure our family is glad to get rid of us and out of their hair, but we loved every second of it. Some of the highlights:
*Sledding and tubing behind my dad's truck
*Spoiled with presents: Best of all- a trip to the Bahamas in June
*Ate tons- probably gained 10 pounds and not sure that is a highlight
*Watched three of my little sister's basketball games: GO BEES
*Played with cousins and had the best birthday party ever for my two nephews
*Bowling and Movies
*Board games almost every night and tons of Band Hero
*Watched another season of Smallville
*Shopped with Christmas money
*Utah Jazz basketball game
*Made super cute watch bands and jewlery
*Zoey turned 6 months old. We can't believe it. She has the world's cutest smile and the best personality. Love you baby girl
Hope everyone had a great Christmas break and New Year. May this New Year bring you much joy and happiness.

5 months

Zoey turned 5 months old on Thanksgiving. I can't believe how big she is getting. Here are a few things we love about her, along with some new stages in her life:
- Her smile. She is always smiling and making Shawn and I laugh.
- Rolling. She has started to roll over. It is so fun to watch her work so hard to roll over and then get so upset when she is on her tummy because she can't roll back over.
- Sitting up. She can sit up on her own. She does not last a long time, but she is getting so strong and loves to sit up.
- Sucking her thumb. I don't know if we love her sucking on her thumb, but she loves it. She is constantly sucking on her thumb. It is so funny. She just noticed it over the break and is always doing it.
- Naps. She has always been a great napper and has slept through the night since she was two weeks old, but she loves her naps. She takes 2-3 hour naps twice a day. It is nice for me to get stuff done, but I also hate it because I would much rather have her up so I can play with her.
-Laugh. She has the cutest laugh ever. I love to make her laugh. She loves playing hide and seek, and peek-a-boo. She will laugh no matter what.
-Blanca- This is her bunny that makes lullaby sounds. She loves it. She kisses and hugs on it and whenever she is cranky, this will always calm her down and make her smile.
-Bath time. She loves taking a bath. When we are done giving her a bath, we get her out and bring her to the mirror. She loves to look at herself in the mirror and smile. Totally a girl.

We love you so much Zoey. You are our life and we are so blessed to have you.

FAMILY

Zoey had so much fun playing with her cousins. She got spoiled the whole time we were home. My niece had her 2nd birthday party, my nephew loved kissing on Zoey, and my sisters loved on her too. Here are a few pics of Zoey growing up so fast with her cousins.
